RPM Living joins Airbnbs Apartment program
Early momentum across RPM communities
  • RPM Living has joined Airbnb’s Airbnb-friendly program after an initial pilot
  • RPM Living resident earnings from hosting on Airbnb have increased more than 200% year-over-year
  • Operators are embracing flexible living solutions that meet resident demand while maintaining clear oversight and community standards

RPM Living, one of the largest multifamily property managers in the United States, has joined Airbnb’s Airbnb-friendly program after an initial pilot, expanding responsible, operator-approved hosting across its portfolio.

With more than 218,000 units under management across more than 50 markets, RPM Living’s participation reflects a growing shift in multifamily housing: operators embracing flexible living solutions that meet resident demand while maintaining clear oversight and community standards.

The Airbnb-friendly Apartment program allows residents in approved buildings to host their homes on Airbnb part-time, while giving property managers visibility, controls, and tools to manage hosting.

Early momentum across RPM communities

RPM Living is already seeing strong results. Ten RPM-managed properties are live on the Airbnb-friendly program, and across those communities, resident earnings from hosting on Airbnb have increased more than 200% year-over-year.1

For operators, the program offers a new resident amenity alongside:

    Structured oversight of hosting activity

    New leasing and retention opportunities

    Incremental ancillary revenue

Built for operators, designed for residents

For RPM Living, the value of the program lies in its balance: resident empowerment paired with operational confidence.

“The Airbnb-friendly program has been very beneficial for our communities,” said Chelsea Miller, Director of Partnerships at RPM Living. “It provides a layer of control and visibility that operators previously didn’t have, while also helping drive new leases and ancillary revenue. Just as importantly, it’s become a compelling resident amenity—offering flexibility and earning potential without compromising community standards. The tools are intuitive and easy to use, making participation seamless for both our teams and our residents.”

A growing signal for multifamily

Airbnb is proud to partner with RPM Living as more multifamily operators adopt the Airbnb-friendly program to meet evolving resident expectations.

As participation continues to grow, the competitive advantage is becoming clear: flexible living, built with guardrails, is quickly becoming a differentiator in multifamily housing.

Welcome to the Airbnb-friendly program, RPM Living.
