Coptersafety’s TRU AW169 full flight simulator with Phase 8 avionics has been qualified to Level D by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Level D qualification is only assigned to full flight simulators that meet the highest standards of the FAA.

With the increasing use of the AW169 aircraft by operators, Coptersafety can now provide a higher-level of training with the latest avionics for customers whose license follows the Federal Aviation Administration.

"I'm very happy to announce that the FAA has performed their evaluation and have qualified the Phase 8 upgrade of our AW169 FFS Level D. This simulator is now ready, and we can ensure the best training quality for AW169 pilots who follow the FAA." says Toni Rönnberg, Coptersafety's COO.

Coptersafety’s AW169 full flight simulator is equipped with Phase 8 avionics. The FFS can be easily configured precisely to customer needs, regardless of mission type or weather scenario. It offers immersive and realistic training features such as cockpit vibration, smoke generation, 3D clouds, night and NVIS/NVG visual scenes. Different visual environments in known geographic locations and landing sites can be customized by our in-house visual model team based on customer requests.

Crews can now book training in the Level D AW169 full flight simulator at Coptersafety’s Training Center, conveniently located four minutes from Helsinki International Airport in Finland – which has multiple direct flights from North America.
